Promised Wages...

Wed Jul 22, 2009 6:58 pm by nckrystalblue

Does this only relate to actual per hour wages or is this inclusive of other 'benefits' as well such as Performance Reviews and Pay Raises if they are included in the handbook or other forms of notice (§ 95-25.13.) with the other company "policies"?

Good Afternoon;

After my boyfriend was stabbed about 2 years ago, he's had real bad seizures - they have been lasting over 3 to 5 minutes. Even though he has seizures, because he can work, he can not go on SSI - even though his seizures are now considered deadly because they are over 4 minutes.

What causes his seizures are lack of sleep, stress, and caffeine. However...

Do I have any legal recourse? (This is different from my ADA post)

Mon Jun 22, 2009 4:26 pm by JimmyJazz4

Hello again,
I have other issues with the firm that terminated me while I was on disability and I'm wondering if I have any recourse. Please read below.

I was hired in 2/08. In 5/08, my company waived the requirement for an employee to be employed for 6 mos. before they could get promoted. They did this because my manager announced he was leaving & his manager wanted me t...

Most of them are people that I have had to assist in training. I made less than 26K last year and have been with my employer for three years now my some of my peers ,who have been there a year less that I have, made over ...

i'm asking this for a friend here in LA. Jist of the sitch. He works retail and is currently part time. however for several weeks straight he was working 30 hours and up, which for his company is 'full time'. it is our understanding that under Cali law if you work 'full time' consistently for an extended period, your employer has to upgrade you to full time and give you whatever benefits received...

My start date is today and I think my offer is rescinded

Mon Jan 05, 2009 8:18 am by Heathster

I received an offer letter on 12/18 for a start date of 1/5 (today) - the recruiter says he hasn't seen anything from the employer and he thinks the offer may be rescinded. I gave up a week's worth of contract work to take this full time job. The offer letter states that they will contact me in writing, not via text or phone, etc. - so I was awaiting further instructions. This is a remote job as I...
