KBR/Halliburton Withdraws Cert. Petition
In early February KBR/Halliburton had filed "petition for writ of certiorari" in the Jones case, which, involved allegations by employee Jamie Leigh Jones that she was drugged and raped by several of her coworkers in her quarters in Iraq. This gave rise to the Franken amendment in the 2010 defense appropriation bill.
According to Scotusblog, KBR has now withdrawn that petition.
