Strengthening Whistle Blower protection.

The combination of a whistle blower friendly Obama Administration and the worst breakdown of financial regulation in decades is sure to result in a major expansion of whistle blower protection laws, and the legal press is taking notice.

Congress as well has taken notice and proposing new legislation,since DOL has failed to vigorously enforce the whistle blower statutes and instead has radically narrowed the protection for employees who report fraudulent bookkeeping or fraud on investors under the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. Indeed, the DOL has created substantial hurdles for whistle blowers that are plainly contrary to the plain meaning and intent of whistle blower protection statutes.
