Sexual harrassment /discrimination Empty Sexual harrassment /discrimination

I am a 52 year old single mexican women. I retired from the auto industry in January of 2008. I felt I had no choice to retire because management and human resources and the union would not help me. They would not charge a skilled tradesman for sexual harassment because they stated that no one else saw him. He was doing it to a area manager and I saw it. He pretended he undid his belt, pulled his zipper down and he wagged his penis at the area manager and they both laughed. That was 5 months before I retired, just one of the many incidents that had happened. Human resources said would not punish him after a month long investigation. One of the things that bothered me most is that he had a smirk and little smile on his face when he told me. The skilled tradesman is white. The way things started in 1999 is when I called the police and told them someone was coming in my apartment and ever since then my life at home and at work has been one of the worst nighmares anyone would not want to go through. I had dated a man at work (an outside contractor) who later began working their as a supervisor. We ended it, but still remained friends. Some people at work started following me and I think they got caught and decided to use me as "the problem". They did some things to me at work and finally forced me out of work for 2 months saying I was a pysco, they finally let me come back (they chose the day before thanksgiving) to report back to work and I worked second shift. They were real sweethearts. The men and some women got their hands caught in the old boys club and they were happy they chose to use me. And the union let them do it that way. One of the area managers quit when I retired and became a police officer in this town. Pretty interesting, and one of the other area manager's son who also worked their became a police officer in another town close by. They have one of the biggest scams going on and they know I know it and that is why I believe I am being blackballed. I had went to the eeoc and nlrb and they also turned down my complaints. I am in federal circuit court now representing myself with their lawyers. I recently found out that 2 women in their other facility 35 miles away charged them with sexual harassment and the eeoc took their case. I checked it out with the eeoc and found out that another state is the one who over looks my state as well as a few others. I have a good case and they have ignored me. I live alone and these people let me sit in this situation. I have called the police departmenet this july and told them what was going on and still these things are still happening to me along with sending letters to the governor. I also complained to the senator's office about the eeoc. I have not heard a reply. I also wroter to the district attorney in my city and have not heard a reply either. When I complained a second time at my job a little over a year later they told me to go home. They then called me a told me they wanted me to go see a psychiatrist, because they though I might harm myself or others. I complained about someone hollering racial slurs and rude comments and that's where it got me. They ended up letting me come back a week later. So I had to keep my mouth shut about certain things, untill now. I have alot of paperwork with their names on it and the untruthful things they said about me. I basically stayed to myself and this is where it got me. Even if I am not satisfied with the results of this case I can have another government agency look into this matter and it all starts over again. These arrogant idiots think work is their sexual playground and I didn't want to play. If anyone can steer me in the right direction it would be appreciated. Another thing is that most of the workforce is my age give or take a few years. I think some of them don't want their secrets uncovered. Another thing is that they would do things while I was in the bathroom and I complained about that also. And I don't do drugs and I don't sleep around. They hate my guts. Thanks for letting me vent.

Thats quit a long story if make you feel better to vent--well I hope you feel better. The incident where the worker pretended he un-did his pants and wagged a guy was not intended for you. It hardly rises to a sexual harassment case. The EEOC is notoriously lame,so even if you had a case I doubt they would find it. The company H.R dept in a large auto manufacture in my view usually does a more thorough investigation. If an attorney has not taken the case there may not be one, or if their is one it would cost more to pursue the then the courts would award.

If your retired I believe you are better off putting the whole thing behind you. You say you are pursuing the case on your own, are you pursuing it in state or federal court? You can try one of the Attorney out of the NELA directory http://www.nela.org/NELA/. I have to be honest there does not seem to much here.
