A new book "The Retail Revolution: How Wal-Mart Created a Brave New World of Business" by Nelson Lichtenstein "offers the best account yet of the myriad problems that Wal-Mart employees endure, including the elaborate measures the company has taken to avoid paying workers' compensation to employees injured on the job" according to one review.

Wal-Marts anti employee cyjeff approach to workers organizing is well known, this book shows even further how low Wal-Mart will ...

I was some what encouraged when I heard of the Restatement of Employment Law in the works. Unfoutunatly it seems that there are some bugs that have to be worked out according to acadimia.

The Labor Law Group and Hastings College of Law just wrapped up a Conference on the Proposed Restatement of Employment Law. The Labor Law Group organized three working groups, one each on the three chapters of the proposed Restatement that are available in draft form. The working groups are Chapter 1, Existence ...

Westlaws Nutshell series. Lot of bang for the buck.

For those interested in studying law on a tight budget this works well. The Westlaw Nutshell series gives a brief overview of almost any law topic. The books have a table of cases in the back. Once the book is read you can find all the supreme court decisions on the Internet, and the law library should have the rest. The books are inexpensive around $25. to $32. and stremline a lot of reaserch.

Below is a title list.
